Cash in Blackhawk Rescue Mission 5 comes from two different clocks. One runs while you are in a fight. The other runs at the Headquarters, including while you are offline. The official experience text names that second clock directly: build a Headquarters to boost offline income and research weapons.
Field cash
Open-world clears pay you for objectives, enemy camps, and extractions you actually finish. The reliable early method is the first-hour loop: a cheap 4x4, a sighted M16A2, medical supplies, and compounds you can leave alive. Dying on the drive back deletes the time you spent.
On Ronograd, supply trucks are a second payout. Secure the compound if the garage is locked, drive the truck to the FOB, and take the resources. After Release 9.8.0 the cash portion of that delivery was reduced and the high-value trucks stopped spawning in the open. Use trucks to feed the Headquarters, not as a listed dollar-per-minute route.
Kozlovka is named in a 2026 Headquarters tutorial as a money method for players who are funding weapon upgrades. The video returns there between gunsmith stops. It does not publish a cash-per-clear figure. Run it while you still need practice, then stop when the enemies stop being the lesson.
Zombies has its own extract economy from Operation Cryo. It is not a faster Ronograd. Read the zombies loop before you move your only kit into the quarantine zone.
Headquarters cash
The Headquarters is a personal base, not a social hub you visit for a menu. Public descriptions of the current version say you assign personnel, research equipment, and build defenses. Operation Typhoon said existing research progress carries over, and it improved the department and skill indicators you see while assigning people.
What is not published as a stable table is the price, level cap, or offline yield of each building. A comment under one Headquarters video lists Airbase, Barracks, and Defenses caps. That comment is not a patch note. Upgrade the building the in-game screen prices, then use the shortfall planner if you want to subtract what you already stored.
Practical order once the first rifle works:
- Collect whatever the Headquarters is already holding before you buy another gun.
- Put surplus into the building that the screen ties to income or research, not into a cosmetic.
- Research a weapon only when it changes range or a mission reward does not already cover that role.
- Treat defenses as raid protection for the base, which Typhoon still describes as part of Headquarters management. Exact raid odds are not reprinted here.
A 9.8.0 gunsmith note said research unlocks can be taken from Headquarters storage without a separate production step, and that research capacity was raised. If your screen still shows a produce button, follow the screen. That note is older than Typhoon.
What not to buy first
Outfits are a real system. The experience page advertises more than 1,000 combinations. They do not make the M16A2 hit. Night vision is worth buying when you are actually going out in the dark, because N only works with NVGs equipped. It is a poor first purchase in daylight on the south of Ronograd.
Do not sell or delete the starter rifle to fund a second rifle in the same range band. The loadout guide lists the M4A1 and AK-74M as the early alternatives players are told to consider, after the optic.
